The Death at the Dead Tee
If you’re like me you love Grateful Dead t-shirts but hate the rampant and senseless murders of individuals by police officers. Instead of reprinting the Pearly tee, I decided to make something new. Inspired, in part, by the recent glimpses of justice we’ve seen for Laquan McDonald and Jordan Edwards but more so the blatant and disgusting cycles of bigotry, racism, and corruption that plaster the media daily. Everyone do what you can and don’t forget to vote.
The imagery comes from an ad placed in an old Diamond’s Dupree News by a family searching for answers after their son was beaten to death by police officers outside of the December 10th, 1989 Grateful Dead concert at the LA Forum.
Proceeds to the ACLU as they defend, empower, and influence.
